When advanced imaging makes a measurable difference

Milton Keynes University Hospital has seen a significant improvement in ultrasound service delivery following the replacement of two ultrasound systems with Samsung’s HERA Z20.

Alex Godfrey, Superintendent Sonographer, highlights the new systems have supported improved imaging quality and helped reduce the need for repeat appointments. Since installation, anomaly scan rebook rates have fallen from 28.2% to 3.8%,  a substantial reduction that has helped the department make better use of available capacity.

The HERA Z20 is designed specifically for women’s health, combining advanced imaging performance with intelligent workflow and AI-powered tools. Features including Live ViewAssist™, EzStructure™ and QualityCheck™ are designed to support efficient image acquisition and consistent workflow across women’s health examinations.

For Milton Keynes University Hospital, the impact has extended beyond imaging. Fewer repeat appointments can help improve the patient experience while releasing departmental capacity for other examinations.

This experience demonstrates how modern ultrasound technology can support clinical workflows and the wider delivery of women’s health services.
