Oncology Account Manager

Due to rapid expansion within our oncology department, we are recruiting an Account Manager ultimately covering the South of the UK (exact territory to be defined). Initially the expansion of the Oncology business would require flexibility around the geographical activities. This requires a committed and flexible mindset with a genuine desire to be successful.

Your role will allow you to demonstrate your skills by building long term relationships with customers, winning new business and maintaining / developing existing accounts.

You are responsible for:

  • Maximising order intake of sales.

  • Ensuring continuity of the relationship with the accounts and operating at multiple levels in the accounts’ organisations.

  • Contributing to and driving the development and implementation of local marketing strategies.

  • Maintaining a sales forecast across the assigned accounts and the driving accuracy and predictability.

  • Coordinating all internal necessary resources to obtain objectives and where necessary involves others.

  • Ensuring quotations are completed and delivered within time limits.

  • Ensuring that completed quotations are based on a solution / configuration compliant to specifications requested by the customer, and it is properly reviewed by yourself and/or an Applications specialist/Product Manager or Sales Manager for feasibility and accuracy prior to being issued.

  • Ensuring you have a good understanding of the oncology products and all relevant technology.

  • Managing post sales customer product and applications training.

  • Maintaining contact with existing users ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and confidence in using the equipment.

  • Providing support at courses delivered by our key accounts/customers.

  • Identifying and documenting all key influencers within your accounts.

  • Ensuring customer expectations are being met by managing the customer feedback loop at all stages of the sales process.

  • Ensuring you keep the sales customer relationship management tool up to date and use on a daily basis.

  • Demonstrating our products at customer sites or hospitals and at conferences/exhibits

  • Reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality Standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner.

  • Maintaining your basic product knowledge to ensure you can support customers with basic dedicated front-line applications support.

  • Maintaining good communication with your dedicated line manager, applications specialist and the senior management team.

 

Relevant skills and experience required:

  • Degree level education.

  • Ability to work on your own and manage your time effectively.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Proven ability to form and maintain positive long-term relationships with customers.

  • A good negotiator and good presentation skills.

  • A fast learner who presents a proactive approach, being open-minded, independent, and well-organised.

  • Essential – Experience within the Oncology sector (Clinically or Commercially).

  • Desirable - Good Sales experience with the ability to meet targets.

  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.

  • A valid drivers licence.
